Think of Peter When You See the Bridge Illuminated
Tonight's bridge lighting is a showcase of the many color schemes that adorn our beautiful bridge. Every two minutes, a new color scheme will light the bridge. Without Peter and Jan's generous legacy donation, our bridge would be dark. We are so thankful to have had Peter Peitz in our midst. I will always think of Peter when I see the beautiful lights on the bridge. I loved hearing all his stories about Cotter. He will be missed! I was familiar with the Peitz House at BRMC. It was such a blessing when my mother and then my sister-in-law were diagnosed with cancer. Big Spring Park is where I go to soothe my soul. The lights are a big part of that, especially after my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer.. I did not know of the Peitz connection to the lights and am so grateful for their efforts to make the bridge and park so beautiful. I was blessed to know Peter and Jan somewhat vicariously through my sister-in-law. What a wonderful legacy of generosity he leaves for your community, and what a lovely way to remember and honor him. Mr. Peter touched many lives, and his legacy will continue to live on forever. Met Peter and Jan at the Peitz Cancer Support House. Forever grateful. Oh, I'm so sorry to hear of Peter's passing. I hadn't known him for long, but it only took a brief conversation to know I wanted to hear more of what he had to say. He and Jan are wonderful people. The Peitz River Lights on the Cotter Bridge will pay tribute to its legacy donor, Peter Peitz. Each of the 42 color schemes will rotate every two minutes. This marks the first time the Peitz River Lights have illuminated all color schemes during one night. |
